- For some nationalities (such as China, Philippines, and Vietnam), the application must be submitted through an authorized travel agency designated by the Japanese government, often as part of a package tour.
- Entries: Single entry
- Visa validity: 90 days from the day after issuance
- Maximum stay: Up to 90 days per visit
- Vietnam passport holders: up to 15 days stay
- China passport holders: 15 or 30 days stay depending on current policy
- Standard: 7 business days
- Urgent: 5 business days
- Super Urgent: 4 business days

Travelers applying for a Japan eVisa should prepare the following documents and information before starting the application:

- All documents must be uploaded in accepted digital formats and meet the file size and resolution requirements specified by the official system.
Important Notes
- Japan eVisa is available only for travelers entering Japan by air or by sea via international passenger ferries between Japan and Busan or Shanghai.
- During the application process, applicants may be required to attend an in-person interview at the Japanese embassy or consulate responsible for their place of residence.
- Only ordinary passport holders are eligible to apply through the official Japan eVisa website.
